DESCRIPTION:\nRegistration is now open for the Fall 2025 OISS ITIN Workshops! Registration via Calendly is required.\n\n\n\nInternational stipend recipients and other foreign nationals* who need an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) are invited to attend this 1-hour OISS workshop. During the workshop\, OISS staff will review the ITIN application process and issue letters to certify the identity and foreign status documents of attendees as required by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for the ITIN application. Attendees can then mail their application to the IRS rather than applying in-person with the IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center (TAC).\n\n\n\n*If you already have an SSN\, you do not need an ITIN.\n\n\n\nThe OISS ITIN Workshops will be offered as follows (only register once):\n\n\n\nLocation: Alumni House\, Room 136\n\n\n\nEach workshop is limited to 30 people and registration is required. Register via Calendly.\n\n\n\nDates and times:\n\n\n\n\nAugust 29\, 9-10am \n\n\n\nAugust 29\, Noon-1pm\n\n\n\nSeptember 5\, 9-10am\n\n\n\nSeptember 5\, Noon-1pm\n\n\n\nSeptember 12\, 9-10am\n\n\n\nSeptember 12\, Noon-1pm\n\n\n\n\nBefore the workshop\, complete the following:\n\n\n\n\nImmigration Check-In through MyOISS (must have been processed by OISS staff)\n\n\n\nForm W-7 (Complete as much as possible\; we can answer questions about the form during the workshop)\n\n\n\n\nBring your laptop and the following original documents AND copies to the workshop:\n\n\n\n\nPassport (original and one copy)\n\n\n\nVisa stamp (original and one copy)\n\n\n\nMost recent I-94 (two copies)\n\n\n\nCurrent status document: (original and one copy)\n\nF-1 only: I-20 (Form Issue Reason must be "Continued Attendance")\n\n\n\nJ-1 only: DS-2019\n\n\n\n\n\nStipend letter from WashU (two copies)\n\n\n\n\nAt the end of the workshop\, OISS will issue certification letters to attendees (which must be included with ITIN applications) and instructions for next steps.
