Please note: This session is designed specifically for international students based on the Danforth Campus using United Health Care.
Your health and well-being are vital components of your academic success, and understanding the ins and outs of health insurance is critical during your time at WashU.
Join The Graduate Center for a virtual session led by Emily Parrott, Manager of Operations at Habif Health and Wellness Center, as she dives into the topic of healthcare and health insurance for graduate and professional students based on the Danforth Campus at WashU.
During this session, Emily will provide an overview of health insurance, including a review of common terminology in US health insurance plans, the waiver process, and key deadlines for the United Healthcare insurance plan for students.
You can also review this valuable guide to gain a solid understanding of healthcare basics, the workings of health insurance, and the optimal way to access care.
To ensure the privacy of our students, questions will not be taken during the session and it will not be recorded. You can submit your questions in advance.
WashU requires all full-time, degree-seeking students on the Danforth Campus to have health insurance. Eligibility for United Health Care is determined by both the nature of the program (i.e., must be degree-awarding and traditionally full-time) and full-time enrollment status in the upcoming semester.
